All Beach Volleyball Rules – Summer Recreation League

1. Adult Coed - Six players on court to start game.  If a player gets hurt, a team can play with five on the court.  MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 MALE AND ONE FEMALE ON COURT AT ALL TIMES… otherwise a forfeit will occur.
2. Men’s League – 2 V 2 AGES 16 & UP
3. Women’s League – 2 v 2 AGES 16 & UP
4. Girls League – 6 v 6 Ages 12 – 15 only

1. No Carries or open hand hits allowed. 

1. Any part of body is allowed to hit ball.

1. Person blocking a spike can hit the ball a 2^nd time. The initial block doesn’t count as a hit.

1. Team has up to 3 hits only to get ball back over net.

1. The winning team is the first one to 21. Teams must win by 2 points.

1. Best 2 out of 3 games to win the match.

1. Volley for serve.  Ball most go back and forth over net 3 consecutive times to count.

1. Players must rotate in a continuous motion. Players may shift positions during live play but must get back into rotation prior to next serve.

1. No blocking of serve.

1. No net contact at all.

1. The ball can hit the net on a serve, as long as it goes over the net.

1. Points scored during serve only.

1. No substitutions on rosters after 2^nd week of play.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

1. All rostered players must sign a waiver prior to playing any games.

1. $125.00 per team.  Payments must be made by the 2^nd week.  Teams not paid in full will be forfeit.

1. THIS IS FOR FUN AND FUN ONLY.  NO ARGUING ALLOWED.  BEACH MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE HAS FINAL SAY ON ANY AND ALL ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE AND HIS JUDGEMENT IS FINAL NO MATTER WHAT.

1. 1 warning allowed per player, 2^nd warning will result in automatic removal from the league.
2. 4 warnings to a team/team’s player will result in team’s removal from the league with not refund. 

1. 1 regular season then a playoff round to follow. 

PLAYOFFS WILL BE THE BEST OF 8 TEAMS PLAYING A ROUND ROUND SETUP.  MATCHES WILL STILL BE BEST OF 3 GAMES.  CHAMPIONS WILL HAVE THE CHOICE OF A TROPHY OR CHAMIONSHIP SHIRTS AS THE FINAL PRIZE.
