All Beach/Indoor Volleyball Rules
1. Adult Coed - Six players on court to start game. A team can play with five on the court if needed. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 MALE AND 1 FEMALE ON COURT AT ALL TIMES… otherwise a forfeit will occur.
2. No Carries or open hand hits allowed.
3. Any part of body is allowed to hit ball.
4. Person blocking a spike can hit the ball a 2nd time. The initial block doesn’t count as a hit.
5. Team has up to 3 hits only to get ball back over net.
6. The winning team is the first one to 21. Teams must win by 2 points. Best 2 out of 3 games to win the match. Three games will played regardless of first 2 game outcomes.
7. Volley for serve. Ball must go back and forth over net 3 consecutive times to count.
8. Players must rotate in a continuous motion. Players may shift positions during live play but must get back into rotation prior to next serve.
9. No blocking of serve.
10. No net contact at all.
11. The ball can hit the net on a serve, as long as it goes over the net.
12. All balls that hit the ceiling and returns to your side are playable. A ball that hits the ceiling and goes to the opponents side is out.
13. Points are scored in a rally scoring format. Teams can get points on their service or the other team’s serve. The team that just won a point will serve next until they lose a point.
14. No substitutions on rosters after 3rd week of play. Only exception is for injured players.
15. THIS IS FOR FUN AND FUN ONLY. NO ARGUING ALLOWED.
16. 1 warning allowed per player, 2nd warning will result in automatic removal from the league.
17. 4 warnings to a team/team’s player will result in team’s removal from the league with no refund.
18. 1 regular season then a playoff round to follow.
